Question 1 - In what ways does your media product use; develop or challenge froms and conventions of real media texts?
There are many ways in which my music video uses conventions of real media texts such as the introduction of the artist, the performance of the songs, change of location and change of costume. There is clear use of these conventions and others throughout our music video. The music video challenges the conventions of media texts in that we had two female artist where we specifically tried to challenge the stereotype of female artist.
question 4 - How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and avaluation stages?
The use of media technologies are evident thought my work. I have used media technologies in all aspects of the production of my music video. This can be seen through the use of the editing software used. to edit our music video we used adobe premiere Pro because it enables the user to end up with a more professional project. This is just one aspect of the media technologies used another would be the Prezi that i embedded on this page. Prezi is a piece of presentation software that will enable the user to create the own presentations in a more creative way. It also enables the user to have the ability to share the presentation online.
question 2 - How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
The combination of our music video and our Digipacks was effective was effective in many ways, firstly we used a warm colour scheme throughout the music video and the Digipack. the we found the use of warm colours to be particularly effective in combining the two pieces without directly linking them. we also used low key lighting in our music video this combined with the use of a black background for most of our Digipack also helped with the combination of the two products.
Question 3 - What have you learnet from your audience feedback?
This is my analysis of our music video feedback.
There were several points discussed in the feedback of my music video, one aspect that the audience thought that we could have included more narrative shots as they helped them to understand the songs lyrics. Another point is that the audience thought that the narrative and the performance is not balanced, they think that their needs to be more narrative and it could be spaced out better.
